Is It Okay to Mix Alcohol and Energy Drinks?

The 10-second answer

Caffeine can make you feel less drunk while alcohol still affects you. You might drink more than you meant to; feeling awake is not sober.

The simple answer

Caffeine does not cancel alcohol. An energy drink may make you feel less drunk, so you could drink more than you meant to. The alcohol is still in your blood. Feeling awake is not the same as being sober. Don't use energy drinks as a way to keep drinking or to decide it's safe to drive.
