Can You Sleep Off a Hangover?

The 10-second answer

Rest helps, but alcohol breaks up sleep. If someone passed out after drinking, don't leave them alone to sleep it off.

The simple answer

Sleep is part of getting through a hangover, but alcohol can make sleep light and broken. You might still wake up tired. If someone drank so much they passed out, don't assume sleep will make them okay. Stay with them and get help if you see danger signs. Don't leave them alone.
