What Are DHM Side Effects?
The 10-second answer
There is no established complete side-effect profile for DHM used after drinking.
The simple answer
Not knowing all the risks is different from knowing there are none. Early studies cannot show every possible problem in people. If you feel unwell after a supplement, do not dismiss it because the label calls it natural.
Myth vs Fact
Myth
No widely known side effects means no side effects.
Fact
Missing safety information is not proof of safety.
The science
- ClinicalTrials.govThe registered Phase I DHM study is designed to assess adverse events and how purified DHM moves through the body. A registration is not a completed safety result.
- Shen et al. 2012The Shen study tested rats and cultured neurons; it cannot establish a human side-effect profile.
- NIH / NCCIHNCCIH advises reporting serious suspected supplement reactions and talking with health care providers about supplement use.
